Sex in Childrens Advertising Now Banned

Child being portrayed in a sexually charged advertisement

How did it ever come to this? We are fighting with advertisers so that they might stop portraying children in a sexually charged setting. At least now it will be against the law to put children in such a position for advertisements, no more six year old girl provocatively blowing kisses at you! The decision comes after a senate enquiry into the premature sexualisation of children.

Beyond that the senate committee has now banned advertisements that undermine the parental authority, that using the product will make the owner superior to his/her peers and ads that promote an unhealthy lifestyle. Advertisements must also be firmly grounded in reality as the product must not be shown in any sort of situation that would be practically either impossible or dangerous.
